Indonesian police have arrested the head of the Singapore branch of regional Muslim militant network Jemaah Islamiah.
Police arrested Mas Selamat Kastari on the Indonesian island of Bintan off Singapore yesterday.
"We have arrested Mas Selamat Kastari, a Singaporean whose position is the 'wakalah' in Singapore," said the head of the Indonesian criminal investigation bureau.
He said a "wakalah" means a country head in the Jemaah Islamiah structure.
