Indonesian police have detained a grandson of former president Suharto after finding 70 rounds of live ammunition at his house.
The discovery came during a hunt for Mr Suharto's fugitive son, police said today.
Jakarta police spokesman Mr Anton Bahrul Alam said police detained Mr Ari Sigit Suharto last night after they found the bullets at his house.
Police have been criticised for failing to arrest the former president's youngest and favourite son, Mr Hutomo Tommy Mandala Putra, who has been on the run since late last year after refusing to serve an 18-month jail term for corruption.
But they have been putting increasing pressure on the once-untouchable family following an order by new President Ms Megawati Sukarnoputri to bring the wealthy former playboy to justice.
"Ari Sigit is being detained for questioning. He was brought to police headquarters last night after we found 70 bullets in his house during our search for Tommy," Mr Alam told Reuters.
