Olympic 100 metres champion Maurice Greene will not compete in Friday's Brussels Golden League meeting because of the leg injury he suffered at the world championships.
The three-time 100 metres world champion and world-record holder has not run since straining his left hamstring in his title defence in Edmonton earlier this month.
Greene said his next race would be September 5th at the Goodwill Games in Brisbane, Australia.
"I'm going to rest my leg a little longer, and then I will be ready to defend my title as the 100 metre champion at the Goodwill Games," Greene said.
