Flyhalf Frederic Michalak will miss France's next Six Nations match against Italy because of a chest injury.
The 21-year-old is replaced by uncapped Julien Peyrelongue, 22, who plays his club rugby with Biarritz Olympique.
"Michalak has been ruled out because he was still in pain when he woke up," said team manager Jo Maso. "It would have been too risky to ask Frederic to play on Saturday. He will be out of action for at least 10 days."
The replacement of Michalak was the only change to the team who defeated Ireland 35-17 in France's Six Nations opener at the weekend.
