Ruby Walsh will miss the ride on Exit To Wave in today's Martell Cognac Grand National after breaking his wrist at Aintree yesterday.
The Irish rider took a heavy fall from the Paul Nicholls-trained Early Edition in the Martell Cognac Sainsbury's Mildmay Novices' Chase at the Merseyside track and was forced to sit out the last race.
But it was later discovered Walsh had broken his wrist forcing him to miss the mount on the Nicholls-trained runner in today's showpiece event.
His agent Jennifer Walsh said: "He's broken his wrist. He will go and see his orthopaedic surgeon in Dublin on Monday and we will know much more then."
