THE INQUEST into the death of Dwayne Foster after being found unresponsive in a Dublin Garda station where he was being questioned following the fatal shooting of Donna Cleary has been adjourned for seven months.
Dwayne Foster (24), Woodbank Avenue, Finglas, Dublin, was discovered unresponsive in Coolock Garda station on March 7th, 2006, and was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Mr Foster (24) was being questioned in relation to the shooting of Ms Cleary (22), who was fatally wounded at a party at Adare Green, Coolock, on March 5th, 2006.
Mr Foster died of methadone intoxication, a postmortem found.
Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis also found a large number of “minor” injuries on Mr Foster’s body, caused by “blunt force trauma” which would have been painful, but would not have contributed to his death.
Coroner Dr Brian Farrell yesterday adjourned the inquest for seven months. The move arose when a member of the jury had to be excused due to a family bereavement and some legal representatives expressed a preference to adjourn the hearing and resume with the same jury numbers.
