Two investigations were under way today after a fire broke out at the Health Services Executive's headquarters in Cork.
The blaze, which is being treated as suspicious, was spotted at the offices on Victoria Cross Road at around 11pm last night.
It caused considerable damage to the reception area of the building which was vacant at the time. Three units of Cork City Fire Service contained the blaze at the entrance and hallway of the building.
No-one was injured but the offices were extensively damaged by smoke. Gardai and the HSE are investigating. The scene remains preserved while investigations continue.
