A man was in hospital last night after he was shot in both ankles in a suspected so-called "punishment" shooting in north Belfast early yesterday morning. The 23-year-old victim was attacked in an alley off the Antrim Road around 3 a.m., according to the RUC.
Families Against Intimidation and Terror spokesman, Mr Vincent McKenna, blamed the IRA for the shooting. He repeated his claim made earlier last week the IRA had drawn up a list of people for such attacks.
