The dissident republican group, the 32-County Sovereignty Committee, has criticised the IRA statement on the Belfast Agreement and said the Provisionals should have told people to vote No in this month's referendums.
Mr Joe Dillon, a spokesman for the committee, said it agreed with the IRA's analysis that referendums on both sides of the Border did not constitute national self-determination. But the Provisionals should have called for a rejection of the agreement.
He said the committee would be urging the Sinn Fein special ardfheis, which will next weekend decide the party's policy, to reject the agreement. `Surely Sinn Fein will not want to sign up to the denial of Irish national sovereignty by the British government?"
