It has been reported that Colombian authorities are searching for six members of the IRA and the Basque separatist group ETA in connection with the bombing of an upscale Bogota club two weeks ago.
Sources close to the investigation into the bombing that left 36 people dead have reportedly told Semanamagazine that four members ETA and two suspected IRA members are wanted by security organisations, in an investigation backed by US intelligence agencies.
The magazine says that the ETA and IRA members entered Colombia along its border with Venezuela, according to former members of leftist rebel group the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) cooperating with the investigation.
The attack, which also wounded 160 people, is believed to be the work of the FARC, which is locked in a four-decade war with the Colombian state.
The rebels have recently stepped up urban attacks and are increasingly targeting the country's upper middle classes.
