The father of a boy killed by an IRA bomb in England has welcomed yesterday's historic deal between the DUP and Sinn Féin.
Colin Parry, who son Tim (12) was killed in the bomb attack on Warrington in 1993, said he hoped it would mean an end to the bloodshed.
"I think this is the way forward. Forgiveness is an entirely separate issue," he told the BBC Radio 4 Todayprogramme.
"The key issue is that Ian Paisley and Gerry Adams, two diametrically opposed politicians, are at long, long last being required to do some serious business, and I think everyone has to be pleased about that. This situation has to be applauded," he said.
"The stark truth is that, with any good luck, there'll be no more children and people killed as a result of this ancient conflict and the beginnings of normal politics will start on May 8th," Mr Parry added.
