Baghdad - UN arms inspectors yesterday wound up their second day of unhindered inspections since they returned to Iraq, Iraqi Gen Hussam Amin Mohammed said.
The general, who heads Iraq's national surveillance department which deals with and escorts the UNSCOM teams, said that Baghdad "has granted all the facilities" the inspectors need to accomplish their mission, according to the official INA news agency.
The inspectors returned on Tuesday after Baghdad backed down on its refusal to co-operate with the UNSCOM, thus escaping a military strike by Britain and the United States to force it to comply with the inspectors.
