Ireland Under-19 cricket team defeated Canada today in their second group match of World Cup Plate Championship in Bangladesh today.
Ireland, who won by 155 runs, batted first and put 265 runs on the scoreboard for nine wickets. Kevin O'Brien was Ireland's highest run scorer with 51 with Eoin Morgan next with 44.
Canada had no relpy and were all out for 110. Andrew Riddles, Eoin Morgan and Robert Rankin all took two wickets. Morgan was man of the match for the second time in the tournament.
Ireland will not know their semi-final opponents until their final group match against hosts Bangladesh this Friday. Should they win, Ireland will top the group an increase their chances of avoiding favourites Australia.
