Musical theatre performer and singer Elaine Paige has postponed the three Ireland concerts in her 50th Anniversary 'farewell' tour due to illness.
Paige is suffering from laryngitis and is unable to sing.
She was due to perform at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, tomorrow and Wednesday nights, and at the Cork Opera House on October 31st.
Rescheduled dates will be announced this week for which all tickets will be valid. Ticket holders who wish to get a refund may return to the point of purchase, the National Concert Hall or the Cork Opera House.
Paige’s October 22nd concert in Brighton was also postponed and has been moved to November 13th.
Her tour began in Cardiff earlier this month and will end in Melbourne on December 6th. The farwell tour celebrates Paige’s 50 years in showbusiness and marks her exit from the stage.
Paige, 66, is best known for her role as Grizabella in the original production of Cats, launching the hit song “Memory,” and for winning a Laurence Olivier award for her depiction of Eva Peron in Evita on West End.
