Irish boxers Conor Ahern and Paul Hyland were both beaten at the European Senior Championships in Pula, Croatia today.
Light flyweight Ahern was stopped by his Italian opponent in the third round while Hyland, competing in the flyweight division, was beaten 27 points to 17 by a fighter from Azerbaijan.
Out of the eight Irish competing at the championships, only Andy Lee remains. The Limerick middleweight takes on England's Commonwealth Games gold medallist Darren Barker in the last 16 tomorrow.
