Minister for Innovation Policy Michael Ahern TD today unveiled a European business and technology partnering network for companies.

The ENN Ireland consortium will be responsible for delivering the services of the Enterprise Europe Network in Ireland. It consists of Enterprise Ireland and the Chambers in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Sligo and Waterford.

EEN Ireland is aiming to expand its client base of Irish companies ten fold, increasing the number of Irish SMEs receiving business or technology partnering support to 20,000 over the next three years.

The partnering network will help Irish SMEs access more than 3,000 European business opportunities using an online technology and business partnering database.

The wider Enterprise Europe Network has a footprint covering 40 countries, with more than 4,000 specialist staff in 500 development agencies.
