Ms Deirdre Veldon has been appointed editor of The Irish Times website, Ireland.com. She has also been appointed an assistant editor of The Irish Times. A graduate of NUI Galway, from where she graduated with a BA and a Higher Diploma in Applied Communications, she has been a member of staff of The Irish Times since 1996.
