Czech police are today trying to establish how an Irish tourist died in Prague early on Sunday.
The death of a Kilkenny man Michael O'Leary (23), of Minauns, Callan, is being treated as suspicious.
He was chairman of the local farming organisation, Callan Macra na Feirme and was on a weekend away with 23 of the organisation's members.
A Department of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman told ireland.comthey were in touch with Czech authorities and the family of Mr O'Leary.
Police are investigating the possibility that Mr O'Leary's drink may have been spiked before he was attacked and robbed. Another Macra na Feirme member, Mr Padraig McNally, from the Paulstown branch of Macra, was also robbed.
