Ankara - Police arrested more than 100 Islamist demonstrators protesting against a new anti-Islamic school law in rallies throughout Turkey yesterday. More than 40 people, including 10 women, were arrested in the western city of Bursa as they chanted slogans against Turkey's secular regime.
Nearly 60 other Islamist demonstrators were arrested in other protests in the Islamic stronghold of Konya in central Turkey and three eastern towns.
