Israeli helicopter gunships fired missiles at Palestinian security headquarters in the West Bank today, hours after a suicide bomber killed six people at an Israeli shopping mall, witnesses and Palestinian radio said.
Several people were injured in the attack on a security force outpost in the West Bank city of Nablus, the Voice of Palestine radio reported.
The exact extent of the damage was not immediately known. The Israeli army said it was checking the report.
Meanwhile, EU foreign policy and security chief Mr Javier Solana condemned today's bomb attack in an Israeli shopping mall and said he would travel back to the Middle East at the weekend for another round of talks.
Referring to the attack by the Palestinian suicide bomber who blew himself up outside the crowded mall in Netanya, killing five others and injuring 60, Solana told reporters: "I want to condemn this terrorist act with the strongest words. We have to stop this cycle of violence".
