A report into the conduct of Israel's government in the recent war in Lebanon has led to the resignation of a member of cabinet.
Minister Eitan Cabel of the Labour party will announce his resignation today to protest the critical findings of the Lebanon war inquiry, a spokesman said.
The government inquiry commission report, one of the harshest in Israel's history, blamed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and his government of faulty judgment in ordering and directing last summer's war in Lebanon.
Mr Cabel, a minister without portfolio, is the first member of the government to step down following the report.
