A New Ross, Co Wexford, family have their hands full following the birth of their third set of twins. Jake and Nicole were born on December 30th last at Waterford Regional Hospital and are the third set of twins for JJ and Mag Kinsella.
The new twins follow Adam and Aaron, who turned five this week, and Declan and Michael, who are both 13. They are just six of 11 Kinsella children, who also include Martin (18), Patrick (15), Jamie (11), Daniel (9) and Diana (7). Jake and Nicole were born after 36 weeks and, as they were premature, they only weighed in at 2kg (4lbs 6oz) and 2.3kg (5lbs 2oz) respectively, with Nicole just a little bit bigger than her brother.
The household goes through an average of 68 litres of milk every week and Mag said it would not be uncommon to use more than 20 boxes of cereal.
The doctor has now told JJ (55) and Mag (36) if she gets pregnant again, they can expect another multiple birth - possibly another set of twins or even triplets.
