Rome - Italy's Interior Minister, Claudio Scajola, has warned that the country will organise no more international summits unless all its political parties, including the left, condemn the type of violence that marred a G8 summit in Genoa last month.
Two weeks ago, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi warned that a World Food Summit in Rome in November could be moved to Africa instead. Italy is to host an informal NATO ministerial meeting in Naples in September which anti-globalisation organisations opposed to the US missile defence plan have threatened to disrupt.
