The FAI today confirmed that the Republic of Ireland will be based in Izumo City in Japan for next year's World Cup finals.
The south western city will play host to their training camp following the team's arrival in Japan in May.
Mick McCarthy's side will also play a warm-up match against Japanese club Hiroshima to mark the opening of a new 15,000 seater stadium in Izumo City.
The game against the J-League side will take place on May 25th.
