Lagos - The US presidential envoy and civil rights leader the Rev Jesse Jackson meets leaders of Nigeria's ethnic Ogoni minority today, the eve of the third anniversary of the hanging of nine of their leaders.
Author Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight other members of the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP) were executed on November 10th, 1995, on the orders of the late Gen Sani Abacha, despite pleas for clemency after a murder trial widely denounced as flawed.
