LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles prosecutors plan to file a criminal case in the death of Michael Jackson on Monday.

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles prosecutors plan to file a criminal case in the death of Michael Jackson on Monday.

The case is expected to include a charge of involuntary manslaughter against the singer’s personal doctor. The District Attorney’s office said yesterday that details of the charges would be officially released on Monday, and gave no further information.

One source close to the case said Dr Conrad Murray, who has been under investigation for months, would be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Dr Murray was with Jackson when he died on June 25th last and has admitted giving the 50-year-old singer a dose of the powerful anaesthetic propofol to help him sleep. Dr Murray, a cardiologist, has repeatedly insisted he did nothing wrong and has told investigators he was not the first doctor to give Jackson propofol, according to court records.
