A “recreational drug user” caught with heroin at Tallaght District Court is to be sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court next month.
David Evans (23) of Sundale Villas, Tallaght pleaded guilty to possession of 6.407 grams of heroin with a value of €1,281 for sale or supply at the court on December 1, 2008.
Evans has 182 previous convictions for road traffic offences, public order and criminal damage.
Judge Joseph Matthews adjourned sentencing until July as only one urine analysis was completed while Evans has been in custody since February.

“He has a drug problem and I want to be advised as to the extent of it,” said the judge.
