A circuit court judge facing a charge of being in possession of child pornography has failed in his attempt to have his trial moved from Kerry.
Judge Brian Curtin applied to Listowell Circuit Court today to have the trial moved to Dublin.
But Judge Carroll Moran presiding refused the application and banned the media from reporting the reasons for the application. He ruled the trial should proceed in Tralee beginning on April 20th.
Judge Curtin has denied a charge of possessing child pornography at his home in Tralee on May 27th 2002.
