A doctor accused of sexually assaulting a female patient in Dublin's Mater Hospital was refused bail yesterday at Dublin District Court. The 36-year-old foreign national is charged with committing the offence against a young woman on July 28th last.
Det Sgt Tom Waters told Dublin District Court the defendant was about to leave for England when he was arrested. Judge Murrough Connellan said he would not set bail in the case, even with a surrender of passport, and the man was remanded in custody to appear again in a week.
