The High Court yesterday ruled that the erection of "pay-and-display" parking-ticket machines in the Monkstown-Seapoint area of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown did not interfere with the visual appearance of the area.
In a reserved judgment, Mr Justice Lavan dismissed a challenge taken by 35 members of the local residents' association to the erection of the machines.
The residents had claimed the county council and its manager had unlawfully erected the machines.
