Santiago - A Chilean judge will go ahead with the interrogation of the former dictator Gen Augusto Pinochet for human rights abuses early next week following medical examinations, prosecutors said yesterday.
Judge Juan Guzman Tapia, investigating more than 200 complaints against Gen Pinochet, rejected two petitions from the former strongman seeking to put off the interrogation fixed for Tuesday until results of medical examinations scheduled for tomorrow and Monday were known, the prosecution lawyer, Mr Hugo Gutierrez, said.
