Robbie Keane "has a chance" of playing in Sunday's Yorkshire derby between Leeds United Bradford at Elland Road according to manager David O'Leary.
Keane damaged his ankle during last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Arsenal in a heavy challenge with Tony Adams. The injury led sections of the media to claim the Republic of Ireland international striker could be out of the game for up to a year.
But O’Leary has dismissed the reports and said Keane will again step in for Alan Smith if passed fit in time.
Midfielder David Batty serves the second of a three-match suspension, with Erik Bakke again the likely candidate to take over in midfield.
