Fine Gael today launched a six-week campaign ahead of next year's general election.
Health, crime rates and the waste of public money will be the main areas covered by the campaign, entitled "Ireland Deserves Better".
"Ireland deserves better than rising crime and falling detection rates," said party leader, Enda Kenny at the launch today.
"It also deserves a Government that uses the taxpayer's money wisely and well. And, most certainly it deserves better than a health system that regularly sees hundreds of people stranded on hospital trolleys for days on end."
Mr Kenny said he will outline his party's ideas to tackle the problems in these areas at the Fine Gael ard fheis on the 5th and 6th of May.
In the run up to the ard fheis Fine Gael will advertise the campaign on a series of billboard sites, bus shelters, and Darts.
Mr Kenny also promised to hold at least one public meeting on the theme of Ireland Deserves Betterin every county in the country.
