Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny will today offer his backing to the family of murdered man Paul Quinn.
Mr Quinn (21), a truck driver from Co Armagh, was lured over the Border to an isolated farm before being savagely attacked in a shed last October.
Stephen and Briege Quinn are to brief the Fine Gael leader at a meeting in Co Monaghan on their campaign to bring his killers to justice.
A Fine Gael spokesman said: "Stephen and Briege have already met with senior representatives of Fine Gael in Dublin when Enda Kenny wasn't there so he was anxious to meet them at the earliest opportunity.
"He will be receiving a briefing from them about how their campaign is going locally, and he obviously wants to show them Fine Gael's support for justice in the case."
The Quinn family maintain that Paul was killed by the IRA because of a personal feud with one of its members. They have rejected claims by senior Sinn Féin figures that the incident was linked to fuel smuggling.
SDLP MLA Dominic Bradley has submitted a motion for consideration by the Assembly and hopes it will be heard before the end of the month.
"It is time to move beyond ritual condemnations and take a stand for a lawful society. Unfortunately, this murder investigation has been distorted from the very beginning by political intervention," he said.
