KENYA:Kenyan police have arrested a Dutch woman who made a film about opposition leader Raila Odinga on suspicion of terrorist activities, heightening concerns about press freedom in the wake of last month's disputed elections.

Eric Kiraithe, a police spokesman, said officers from Kenya's anti-terrorist unit arrested the Dutch documentary maker and two German men as they were trying to leave the country from Nairobi's international airport on Thursday evening.

Mr Kiraithe said the suspects, who were all travelling on journalist visas, had been found with photos of "vital institutions". He said they had also aroused suspicion by changing cars several times during their drive to the airport. The three are being held in a police station in the city but have not been charged.

Mr Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement said the Dutch suspect, Fleur van Dissel, had spent years making a documentary about him. The film was aired on local television days before the December 27 vote.
