The Kerry Group has announced the acquisition of two flavour businesses in the US and acquisitions in the UK and Brazilian food ingredients markets.
The businesses with a combined turnover of about euro 60 million are being acquired for a total consideration of euro 94 million.
Together with the eight acquisitions earlier this year and the acquisition of Golden Vale, this brings total group development activity to about euro 600 million.
The US acquisitions include The Geneva Group, the LA-based producer of technology for savoury and sweet applications, and Hickory Specialties, which produces flavouring for meats and seafoods in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Current president of Kerry Mexico and Central America Mr Kevin Lane has been appointed president of the new global flavour division.
The Group has also concluded two further acquisitions in the UK and Brazilian markets.
In the UK, Kerry Ingredients (Europe) has acquired the sauces and flavoured butters division of Voyager Foods in the UK. The acquisition of Siber, located near São Paulo, expands Kerry's food ingredients operations in Brazil.
