Liverpool's new recruit Harry Kewell has been included in the Australian squad for the friendly against the Republic of Ireland at Lansdowne Road on August 19th.

Manchester City midfielder Danny Tiatto has won a recall after two years in the international wilderness while Portsmouth defender Hayden Foxe also features.

The squad has an exciting, attacking feel about it with Farina able to call upon Kewell, his former team at Leeds Mark Viduka and Marco Bresciano, who at £10million became the most expensive Australian footballer when he joined Parma from Empoli.

However, manager Frank Farina has been talking down his side's chances, claiming fans should be realistic about their prospects when facing Brian Kerr's side.

Kerr will reveal his squad at a press conference in the Holiday Inn, Dublin Airport later this afternoon.

"We're not even talking a win (though) a result would be fantastic for us," Farina told reporters in Sydney. "Unfortunately or fortunately the level of expectation continues to rise.

"I think that's due to the fact we have quality players and then when you do have good results people tend to expect that every time that they go on the park.

"I just hope that everyone keeps their feet on the ground and realises what we are trying to achieve and where we are trying to head (qualifying for the 2006 World Cup)."
