Gardaí have identified the woman whose body was found in Kildare on Saturday as Lynette McKeown (19), from Tallaght in Dublin.
Ms McKeown, mother of a two-year-old girl, was missing from her home in Birchwood Heights since Friday August 13th last.
Officers have renewed their appeal for a man who made a telephone call to gardaí in Dublin last Thursday with information concerning the case to make contact again. He is believed to have information that is vital to the inquiry.
Ms McKeown's death is being treated as suspicious. Her body was discovered by a farmer on Saturday afternoon at a derelict house at Eadestown, between Naas and Blessington. It is believed to have been there for four or five days.
Chief Supt Sean Feely of Naas Garda station told the media it would appear the woman's body had been dumped in the area as there were no indications of a struggle.
A post-mortem failed to establish whether Ms McKeown had been assaulted. Further tests are being carried out.
The dead teenager's mother, Ms Carol McKeown last week made a public appeal for her daughter to get in touch. She said Lynette had gone to take a bus into town to meet a friend of her partner but never arrived.
