Three-times former champion Gustavo Kuerten raced through to the French Open quarter-finals
with a 6-3 7-5 6-4 victory over Spain's Feliciano Lopez this afternoon.
The Brazilian 28th seed, champion at Roland Garros in 1997, 2000 and 2001, outclassed his less experienced opponent on centre court in less than two hours.
Kuerten wrapped up victory with a forehand volley to set up a quarter-final against David Nalbandian of Argentina or Russian Marat Safin.
