The Labour Party has chosen an unprecedented three candidates to contest the coming general election in the Wicklow constituency.
Former Independent councillor, Mr Nicky Kelly, was selected at a party convention in Wicklow town yesterday to contest the five-seater constituency.
County Council chairman, Mr Jimmy Shaughnessy and sitting TD, Ms Liz McManus, were the other candidates chosen.
The meeting was chaired by the deputy leader of the party, Mr Brendan Howlin.
