Wallaby fly-half Stephen Larkham has been given until Friday to prove his fitness for Saturday's third test against the Lions.
Larkham has nerve damage in his right shoulder and carried his arm at training today.
"It's one of those things that could be okay in a day or two or could take a couple of weeks so we'll leave it until the last minute," Australian coach Rod Macqueen said.
Elton Flatley took Larkham's spot at fly-half in today's drills, and Macqueen said he would play on Saturday if Larkham was ruled out.
Macqueen said lock David Giffen had recovered from his shoulder injury suffered in last Saturday's record 35-14 win over the Lions in Melbourne that squared the series 1-1.
The Lions were due to make an announcement later today on the progress of fly-half Jonny Wilkinson who has soft tissue damage to his left leg.
