The former Fianna Fáil TD, Mr Liam Lawlor said this afternoon he had provided the Mahon tribunal with 30 files related to his financial affairs.
Mr Lawlor had until 4 p.m. today to furnish the tribunal with more information about his business dealings. He may find himself back in prison if the tribunal decides he has not fully co-operated with its investigations.
Mr Lawlor is known to have flown to London in search of business records of interest to the tribunal into irregularities in the planning process.
Last week the tribunal's chairman, Judge Alan Mahon, ruled that after 10 days of evidence from Mr Lawlor he was satisfied that Mr Lawlor had still failed to comply with its order of March 2002 to provide full details of his financial affairs.
Judge Mahon dismissed Mr Lawlor's claim that he could not afford to pay fees to overseas legal advisers who are seeking payment before releasing his files.
Judge Mahon said that the tribunal would take account of this before making any further order to begin contempt of court proceedings in the High Court.
