A public lecture on “Human Rights in the EU after the Lisbon Treaty: Practical Implications of the New Charter of Fundamental Rights and the Union’s Accession to the ECHR,” organised by the Irish Society for European Law, will take place on March 9th in St Michan’s Church, Church Street, Dublin, at 6.30 pm.
Chaired by Mr Justice Donal O’Donnell of the Supreme Court, speakers include Gerard Hogan SC, Sir Francis Jacobs QC, advocate general at the European Court of Justice 1988-2006 and professor of European law, University of London, and Prof Rick A Lawson, Kirchheiner chair, Europa Institute, University of Leiden.
The lecture costs €10 and is free for Irish Society for European Law members.
