Jockey Graham Lee completed a major steeplechasing double this afternoon, making all the running on 12-1 topweight Grey Abbey to win the Scottish Grand National at Ayr.

Two weeks ago, employing waiting tactics, Lee won the Aintree Grand National on 16-1 chance Amberleigh House, trained by Ginger McCain of Red Rum fame.

Lee became the first jockey to do the National double since 1974 when Brian Fletcher won both races on Red Rum.

Grey Abbey was pressed at the final fence by last Monday's Irish Grand National winner Granit D'Estruval but the challenger took a tumble.
