Legal argument in the absence of the jury continued yesterday in the trial of a Dublin man accused of the murder of a man in Inchicore in 1999.

It was the sixth day of the trial of Mr John Cleary (23), St Mark's Ave, Clondalkin, Dublin.

Mr Cleary has pleaded not guilty to the murder, but guilty to the manslaughter of Mr Kenneth Foley (45), of Tyrconnell Road, Inchicore.

Mr Foley died when his throat was cut after being assaulted in Inchicore, on January 15th, 1999. The jury was sent away until today to allow legal argument to continue.
