Cairo - The Arab League leader, Mr Esmat Abdel Meguid, said yesterday that Libya would accept a US-British offer to hold the trial of two Libyan suspects in the Lockerbie bombing in The Hague.
Asked whether Libya may reject Monday's proposal, Mr Esmat said: "This is not foreseeable because the proposal is the initial Arab-Libyan proposal which they have already accepted." Libya is expected to respond officially today.
