London - Britain's Prime Minister, Mr Blair, wants to spend some time on the beach on his Italian holiday, so authorities have closed several miles of it and the locals are said to be furious.
Mr Blair leaves for Tuscany today. His choice of vacation venues seems to get him into trouble every year. A large stretch of beach near an official seaside residence where Mr Blair will stay will be closed to the public for security reasons, British media said yesterday.
"Blair's beach is made a three-mile no-go zone," said the Daily Mail. "Italian locals protest at `obscene' exclusion zone around the Blair villa," announced the Guardian.
