In 1994, the Jonathan Burrows Group showed Dublin what a fine contemporary choreographer can do with classically-trained dancers. Originally a classical dancer himself - he trained with the Royal Ballet - Jonathan Burrows has chosen a contemporary style of choreography which is brilliant but dispassionate as if he is an observer from another planet.

The current title piece, Things I Don't Know, follows a trio, a duet, an unusual percussion solo by composer Matteo Fargion and his duet with Burrows for piano and hands. The performances, from Thursday to Saturday next at Project @ The Mint, are the only ones in Ireland on this current European tour.
