BRUSSELS - Belgian police said yesterday they had found limbs belonging to at least three bodies, probably women, in 10 rubbish bags in the southern town of Cuesmes: "We have found several limbs; feet, legs, arms, forearms, thighs and hands in litter bags. There were no trunks or heads. Based on the number of feet and hands, they must have belonged to at least three people."
In a separate, apparently unrelated, discovery in the western village of Merelbeke the skull of an elderly man was found in a plastic bag. The police said they did not immediately suspect a link with gruesome discoveries in a paedophile scandal which has rocked the country in the past nine months.
