EuroMillions winner Dolores McNamara says she is determined to stay living in her modest Limerick home despite winning €115 million in Europe's biggest lottery jackpot.

The mother of six, who has yet to reveal how she plans to spend her fortune, has confirmed it is her "strong desire" to continue residing among friends and neighbours in St Patrick's Road in Limerick city.

Ireland's seventh-richest person was back in Limerick yesterday after spending two weeks at a luxury villa in Marbella with her family and nine female friends.

Suntanned and dressed in a beige skirt and brown fitted jacket, she was surrounded by family and neighbours at her local pub, the Track bar, where just three weeks ago she announced her big win.

Ms McNamara (45) addressed the media through her solicitor David Sweeney, who insisted his client had not yet decided how she would spend her millions.

"This area is a neighbourhood where neighbours always help and support each other and it is Dolores's strong desire to continue to reside among her family and friends in this area," said Mr Sweeney.

"The simple truth of the matter is that Dolores will regard the St Patrick's Road area as her home and, if at some future date she has to leave this area, it will not be because she wants to but because she has been left with no alternative."

A few days ago security specialists finished installing high-tech cameras at Ms McNamara's Limerick bungalow.
